Innovation Coupon (Qatar Foundation RDI) is a grant — three-tier innovation coupon in Qatar. Grant from Qatar Foundation's Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) division that helps individuals and start-ups formulate their ideas, in three time-limited tiers that take an idea step by step to market. Tier 1, Developing Proof-of-Concept, is for individual applicants with an idea (up to QAR 50,000); Tier 2, Idea Design and Development, is for individuals, startups and SMEs exploring their business plan and value proposition (up to QAR 100,000; startups and SMEs need 25 percent matching funds); Tier 3, Path to Market, is for applicants with a demo product (up to QAR 200,000; startups and SMEs need 50 percent matching funds).
