A founder plans around the numbers on this map. So every figure here has to be a figure the organisation publishes about itself — and we have to be able to show you where.
What counts as a source
One thing only: the organisation's own website. Not a press release about them, not a funding database, not a news article, and never our own estimate. If a fund's site does not state its ticket size, this map says the ticket size is not published — it does not fill the gap.
Some entries are on the map for a second reason: a Gulf limited partner names the fund on the LP's own site. That backing is shown as the LP's own word, and nothing more is inferred from it.
What we check
Every amount, equity condition, eligibility rule, status and deadline we publish is pulled out of the entry automatically and searched, word for word, on the source — in every spelling the same value can take. KWD 500K is also looked for as 500,000 and 500 thousand; 29 Sep 2026 also as September 29, 2026. Money, deadlines and eligibility count as critical, because a founder acts on them.
How often
- Every day — every application link on the map is opened and checked.
- Every week — a rotating group of entries is re-read against its source.
- Every quarter — the rotation has covered all 280+ entries; entries you can apply to come round twice as often.
What "Checked · September 2026" means
In that month, the figures shown for that entry were found on the organisation's own website.
An entry without the line has not cleared a check in the current round. That is usually a technical reason, not a doubt: many sites render entirely in JavaScript or block automated reading, so they have to be read by hand. We would rather show no line than a line we cannot stand behind.
When something does not match
- The source says something different. The map is corrected within a day, to the source's own wording.
- The claim is nowhere on the source. The figure is removed. A number we cannot show you does not stay on this map.
- The source cannot be read automatically. It goes to a manual check before anything is changed — an automated flag on its own never edits an entry.
Where we can still be wrong
An organisation can leave an outdated number standing on its own site, and to us that still reads as the published figure. Conditions written in prose — who exactly qualifies, what counts as a local entity — cannot be verified by matching text, and are read by a person. And an entry checked in one month can change the next. If a decision depends on it, open the source: every entry links to it.
